Design Motion Around The Machine Task

ISP Otomasyon provides requirements analysis, control software, system integration and commissioning for machine automation and motion control projects. The objective is to coordinate mechanics, production sequences and operator tasks, alongside axis movement.

Axis function, loads, travel, acceleration and stopping conditions, target cycle and positioning requirements are defined first. Numerical performance targets need an agreed measurement and acceptance method; controller and drive selection follows these requirements.

Single-Axis And Multi-Axis Control

Independent positioning, speed control and coordinated axes need different software architectures. Multi-axis synchronization requires assessment of the master reference, following relationships, mechanical transmission and communication timing. Electronic gearing, camming and interpolation are scoped only after confirming the platform and application requirements.

CODESYS-based PLC software can bring machine sequences and motion tasks into a common architecture. SoftMotion is not assumed: runtime, motion libraries, drive profile and licensing must be checked. See our CODESYS engineering service.

Servos, Feedback And Communication

Motor-drive matching, load profile, feedback, mechanical limits and stopping behavior are assessed for the application. EtherCAT systems need review of device descriptions, PDO mapping, cycle settings and clock synchronization. Sharing a protocol name does not establish compatibility for every function.

Catalogue servos, drives and controllers help explore hardware options. Model pages and manufacturer documents remain the reference for specifications; engineering work is scoped separately from hardware supply. Our servo and inverter selection guide explains useful starting information.

Commissioning And Fault Recovery

Homing, direction checks, software and physical limits, alarm diagnosis and restart scenarios are planned. Individual axes are verified before coordinated motion and production sequences. Parameter changes are recorded and acceptance tests use the agreed load and operating conditions.

Emergency stops, guarding and safe motion functions require a separate safety assessment rather than reliance on standard PLC commands. For modernization, existing software, parameters and available shutdown time inform the transition plan.

Preparing An Engineering Enquiry

Provide axis count, mechanical diagrams, motor and drive identification, controller model, source project availability and production symptoms. For EtherCAT or servo synchronization enquiries, include device and software versions. Our team reviews suitability and requirements before agreeing an implementable scope. Read the multi-axis system planning guide.
